Two key differences: The iPhone XS has the newer A12 chip instead of the A11 chip and also has a slightly better battery.
First of all, let’s take a look at the optics of the two iPhones. Basically, the iPhone X and XS look almost identical. They are the same size, same thickness and both have a stainless steel case with a glass back. The back of the iPhone XS is supposed to be a bit more stable than the iPhone X, but glass is still glass.
The only visual difference: the iPhone XS is also available in gold. This is not the case with the iPhone X, which is unfortunately only available in black and space grey.
